Rotary Club Partnership
This past April a group representing 3 New Hampshire based Rotary clubs traveled to Nicaragua alongside two high school interact clubs. In addition to helping the students build houses, the Rotarians spent much of the week learning about possible long-term project opportunities in and around Chacraseca. The trip culminated with a meeting with FNEI and the León Rotary and Rotaract clubs to discuss the possibility of collaborating on a project. Addressing structural needs at each of the 13 schools in Chacraseca was identified and a needs assessment is currently underway to better understand what those needs are and the costs and resources associated with them. The Jaffrey-Rindge, Peterborough, Monadnock, and León Rotary clubs intend on seeking grant funding for the project. This will be the third joint project between FNEI, León and NH Rotary clubs.
