February 12th Speaker

Our speaker on February 12th was Deborah Thurber Director of Project Shakespeare  located in Jaffrey.

Deborah opened by telling us how thankful she is that with the support of open hearts and checkbooks this community has embraced the work of PS and celebrated the accomplishments of the PS students including the trip to Stratford, England to perform Hamlet at the Royal Shakespeare Company's outdoor theatre The Dell.  Deborah learned much during the trip and has brought all that new knowledge and excitement home.  New programs this year include Homeschool Enrichment Classes which are now beginning its second session and One Play in One Week - A group of elementary, middle and homeschool students will rehearse and perform Little Women all in one week's time during April school break.  The summer productions are Power to Charm, a thematically linked show of scenes, speeches and songs by the younger PS Too! students and HENRY V by the mainstage students.
Deborah said that the younger students are the future of PS.
