Hello fellow Rotarians,

This week we will be at FPU with an encore performance by Peter Davis, as meeting chair.  Our speaker will be the new President of Franklin Pearce, Kim Mooney. As host for most meetings, as our partner for Quest, and as the Jaffrey Chamber’s Charity of the Year, I hope we can give Kim, in her capacity as President of FPU, a very warm welcome.

Owen asked me to pass along this message from Anna Buller, Coordinator of the After-School Care Program for 50 kids in J-R School District.  The program is looking for adult mentors to volunteer to lead a specific class each week? It would be once a week for an hour to teach a specific thing like knitting, cooking, soccer, etc? Contact Anna at Monadnock Bible Conference at 532-8321l or abuller@monadnockbible.org if interested.  I am sure she would welcome a team of a few people if you would like to team volunteer as a team.  This program aligns well with Quest in its objective and expectations for mentors.

This week our club also received an invitation from Mary Drew introducing a New Educational Series.  The first lecture entitled, “ON FORGIVENESS" will be held this Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Jaffrey Grade School - Music Room.  The speaker, Leaf Seligman, teaches a course in forgiveness and reconciliation at Keene State College, studies Nonviolent Communication and facilitates Alternatives to Violence Project workshops at a prison in Massachusetts.  I think you would agree that we could all benefit from a little more forgiveness.

Our meeting next week will include a talk from Millipore and for those interested there will be an opportunity to visit the Microcatheter facility after the meeting to see their state of the art manufacturing

Yours in service,
Rotarian Banghart
