Hi Rotarians,

We will meet at The Shattuck this week for our breakfast meeting.

John McCarthy has the Invocation.

Sean Driscoll, son of Bill Driscoll, will be our Guest Speaker on Thursday.  An educator, Sean will share his perceptions of “Public Education: A Veteran Teacher's Perspective.”

A great Thursday evening last week – kudos to Don Upton, whose efforts resulted in four dozen Rotarians and spouses/significant others enjoying “The Producers,” which was preceded by an hour of fellowship, libation, and hors d’oeuvres (spelled THAT right THIS time).  A good time was had by all!

Fireworks this week is our primary thrust – thanks to all Rotarians who have signed up to help repair the "No Parking" signs on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00pm at Belletete’s, post signs on Saturday at 8:00am (meet at W.W. Cross parking lot), and pick up the signs on Sunday at 8:00am (meet at W.W. Cross parking lot).  We will be selling bottled water at the Fireworks again this year.  [NOTE:  We welcome your coolers – have one?  Bring it with you to our Thursday meeting!  We will ensure that it is returned to you in clean condition the following week.]

Tickets for the annual Raffle Party (November 3rd) have been distributed.  Please let your friends know of this positive opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled evening, one that helps our Rotary Club to invest all the more in our two communities.

Lastly, thanks to those who have given Bill Raymond their dues check.  Haven’t yet done so?  Please do!

Yours in service,

bob
