Hi Fellow Rotarians,

We meet Thursday at Franklin Pierce University for our Club Assembly.  Mike Shea has the Invocation.

This will be an IMPORTANT meeting. For the past several months, many Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians have been involved in communications, visitations, and planning for an international project that will favorably impact the Nicaragua town of Leon.  It will be at our Club Assembly that Travis Kumph will share the proposal for our Club's specific involvement and deliverables, answer your questions, and let you know "next steps."

In support of this initiative, Saturday, May 5th, finds several of our Club members heading to Guilford to attend the Grant Writing workshop.  We will be seeking matching funds to build upon the $10,000 that our Club has set aside to support our efforts with the Leon Rotary. We have already received favorable indications from District resources that our "ducks are in order."  In addition, the Monadnock, Peterborough, and Elm City (Keene) Clubs have also been meeting with Travis's team on this major initiative.  I am proud of their efforts.

Speaking of teams, nice job on Saturday by Mike Shea and over 15 Rotarians and guests to help clean up Route 202 as part of Earth Day.  I won't let the cat out of the bag, but we have a special "fun" award to give on Thursday to one unsuspecting Rotarian clean-up participant.  Hmmm... whom could it be?

See you on Thursday!

Yours in Service,

bob
