This week, our Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club meeting will be held at Franklin Pierce University on Thursday, April 10th, at 7:15am.
We’ll begin with breakfast, coffee, and casual conversations at each table—an opportunity to share stories and connect before officially starting the meeting. We welcome Professor Jacques Pierre Weilleus from Franklin Pierce University, as our guest speaker. His topic will be “Bats in New Hampshire,” and he will give an informative talk, one in which you will learn more about the nature and study of these interesting creatures in our Granite State.
Last week’s meeting was opened with an invocation prayer by Rotarian Bill Coleman, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of "America the Beautiful." Special thanks to Tom Ahlborn-Hsu for stepping in to lead the meeting while I was away attending a conference.
We discussed two important upcoming events:
- Community Supper: Sheila Bergeron provided up-to-date details for this event, scheduled for Thursday, April 24th at the United Church of Jaffrey on Main Street. Our club will be preparing and serving food—more details to come. Turkeys have all been assigned and potatoes, too.
- Spring Roadside Cleanup: Happening on Saturday, April 12th. We’ll meet at 8:00am at Emma's 321 Pub and Kitchen in Rindge. Special thanks to Coach Gas, FPU’s football coach and a fellow Rotarian, for organizing support from the FPU football team. Let’s show up in strong numbers to make this a successful event!
We look forward to seeing all of you on Thursday. Your continued enthusiasm, dedication, and spirit of service bring happiness and strength to our community.
