Dear Rotarians,

Our Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet this Thursday, February 6th, at 7:15am, at Franklin Pierce University.

This week, we’re excited to welcome and listen to our guest speaker, Beth Ann Hooper, an award-winning poet, writer, and movie producer from Manchester. You can learn more about her incredible work at therootsthatclutch.com. I’m confident her talk will be inspiring—you won’t want to miss it!

Highlights from Last Week's Meeting:

Breakfast & Camaraderie: We kicked things off with a warm breakfast, great coffee, and meaningful conversations about our lives and club activities.

🙏 Invocation Prayer: The meeting officially began with an invocation prayer led by Russ ("Gas") Gaskamp, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a heartfelt patriotic song - America the Beautiful.

🦺 Rotary Vest Update: "Gas," our Membership Chair, shared an update on the design of our Rotary vests, including the slogan that will be featured on them (see the attached sample for details). The design will be reviewed by the board at the upcoming February 11th meeting, and we’ll collect members' sizes during breakfast on February 13th.

🏔️ Everest Base Camp Adventure: Our guest speaker, Emma Carpenter from Peterborough, shared her incredible journey to Everest Base Camp, bringing stunning photos and real-life trekking experiences from 18,000 feet (5,500 meters). Her expedition was part of a fundraising effort for those living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)—a truly inspiring story!

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you this Thursday morning, when we can share reflections, enjoy each other’s company, and continue making a difference together.

Let’s keep the energy high and the impact strong!

Yours in Service,

Rudra

Emma Carpenter -- Going Where Few Dare!

It's not every young adult who can claim to have "been there" and stared Mt. Everest in the eye.  Emma Carpenter shared her experiences climbing to the base camp of Mt. Everest, which at over 29,000 feet is the highest place on the earth.    Thanks, Emma, for an interesting presentation to the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians!

Jed in New Zealand??

This picture was taken by a Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarian who recently visited New Zealand.  Looks as if Jed Brummer has been everywhere!
