Happy Fourth of July!
There is no meeting this week due to the holiday.
Our next meeting will be at The Woodbound Inn on Thursday, July 12th. Please plan to arrive at 7:00am. As BEST will be underway, we will end our meeting promptly at 8:15am, which will allow us time to arrive at Franklin Pierce by 8:30am, in time for the arrival or our students.
As part of our continuing series of highly educational speakers, Steve Roberge will be our guest speaker. A Cheshire County Extension Forester for the UNH Cooperative Extension, Steve earned his graduate degree in Forestry from Yale University. Come to our meeting prepared to learn more about the rich history of the New Hampshire forests that surround us!
As we end one Rotary year and begin another, it was good to socialize with many Rotarians and spouses/significant others who came to Gavel Night on Thursday. Good food, good company, and a good time! I now begin my second one-year term as Club president and look forward to the next twelve months. Jon Frederick is our 2018-2019 President Elect and will be writing these articles this time NEXT year!
BEST begins Monday -- hard to believe an entire year has gone by since Dave Tower and I were caught scarfing down triple scoops of ice cream at Kimball Farm in Westford. I will claim that picture was photoshopped!
