Dear Rotarians,
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
-- Winston Churchill--
The Jaffrey Historical Society and Jaffrey Center Village Improvement Society hosted a delightful America 250th Potluck Supper on the lawn of the Jaffrey Civic Center on Sunday, July 5th. It was nice to see many of the Rotarians there to help and enjoy some great food together. Thank you to Andy Lawn, Mike Shea, Bob Schaumann, Tom Hsu, Owen Houghton, Mark Hower, John McCarthy. [Editor's Note: Donna was helping, too!]
The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet this Thursday, July 9th, at the Cathedral of the Pines at 7:15am.
We will enjoy a pancake breakfast by Bill Coleman and Bob Schaumann. Russell Gaskamp will do the Invocation.
This will be a Club Assembly to discuss our upcoming Grill & Chill event on July 23rd. We would like to share our progress, outline the remaining tasks, and highlight areas where we need support. We will also introduce our Board of Directors for 2026/2027.
Next week, July 16th, we will also be at the Cathedral of the Pines at 7:15am. Oue guess speaker will be Allan Gillis, Executive Director of the Community Volunteer Transportation Company (CVTC), which provides ride services for many in our community.
July 23rd is our event, Grill & Chill, at Milliken Manor from 4:00 to 10:00pm. July 30th finds us at the Cathedral. We could use a speaker at this meeting. If anyone can help, please let me know. August 6th finds the Club at the Jaffrey Fire Department. Many remember the delicious breakfast the Firefighters prepared for us last year. They will cook our breakfast again that morning.
Lastly, August 13th finds the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club at Ames Automotive Enterprises in Marlboro at 5:00pm.
Yours in Service,
Donna
