Hi Fellow Rotarians,

We meet at The Shattuck this week for our Breakfast Meeting.  Stephanie Niemela has the Invocation.

Good to see Russ Robertson and Dave Tower at last week's meeting -- the snowbirds, like the swallows at Capistrano, have returned!

Our Rotary Club recognized Ellie Graf as the recipient of this year's Rotary Scholarship that is given to a graduating Conant High School senior.

We have an engaging speaker for Thursday, and there is no truth to the rumor that all Rotarians who come to Thursday's breakfast meeting get a free kitten to take home with them.  That having been said, you will enjoy a very fine presentation by Kathy Collinsworth, Executive Director of the Monadnock Humane Society. Kathy's focus will be on "Adapting to the Changing Face of Animal Welfare" -- highly educational and you will gain insights and about which you may not be aware.

Looking ahead, BEST Camp is almost on our doorstep.  Please help Jim Banghart with his effort to ensure full staffinig by offering to work an afternoon or morning shift above and beyond those to which you have already committed (and I thank you for that).  This is our once-in-the-year major effort that benefits some 90 Middle School children.  Circle the calendar for June 19th; this will be a BEST training program for all Rotarians that begins at 9am at the Middle School in Jaffrey - no more than two hours.   BEST begins July 9th.

See you Thursday -- enjoy the nice weather we are having.

Yours in Service,

bob
