Hi Fellow Rotarians,

We meet at The Shattuck this week for our Breakfast Meeting.  Stephanie Niemela has the Invocation.

Many of us drive past the Civic Center each week as we do our errands about town. No fewer than six Rotarians serve as Incorporators or Board Members of the Civic Center, which opened its doors 52 years ago as a result of the founding efforts of the late Marion Mack Johnson, a driving force in its creation. Our Club has pledged $2000 towards the Civic Center's $75K goal to install an elevator in this building, which is used by a variety of organizations throughout the year.  Our guest speaker is familiar to all of us -- Tom Doane, Civic Center president -- who will update us on Civic Center happenings, some of which you likely are unaware.

Looking ahead, BEST training for all Rotarians has been moved up to June 19th from its original June 21st date.  Beginning at 9am at the Middle School in Jaffrey, it will be over by 11am.  Please mark your calendars.

Gavel Night will be Thursday, June 28th, at Peter Russell's home. Please plan ahead to participate in what has always been an enjoyable evening of camaraderie, good food, and some humor for both Rotarians and their spouses/significant others.

Lastly, I am very pleased that we had a record 82% participation that raised a total of $8,315 for our Foundation/BEST.  Clay, kudos to you for managing the program, and kudos to ALL who helped to raise this enormous amount, $5,345 of which will go to Camp BEST and nearly $3,000 to Rotary Foundation.  Nice job, everyone!

See you Thursday.

Yours in Service,

bob
