Dear Rotarians,

Please note that there will be no morning meeting this week on Thursday, May 29th, in observance of Memorial Day. Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, June 5th, at 7:15am at the Cathedral of the Pines.

We did not have our regular breakfast meeting last week due to our Annual Golf Tournament on Wednesday, May 21st, followed by a wonderful social gathering of dinner that evening. The tournament was a great success, with 11 teams participating. We celebrated the players and teams during the dinner and musical event. Congratulations to all the golfers! We are proud to host such a wonderful and FUN event, and even prouder of the dedication shown by our fellow Rotarians who participated as players, volunteers, and organizers. Thank you all!

At our last club meeting on May 15, Rotarian John McCarthy, members of the Conant High School Interact Club, and Interact advisor Mike Tenters shared the inspiring story of the Interact club's support at a local school in the Dominican Republic (DR). They also expressed their thankful note to our Rotary Club for our financial support for their trip to the Dominican Republic. Eleven Interactors from grades 9–12, along with advisors Melissa Jarest, Mike Tenters, and Paddy McCarthy, and Rotarian John McCarthy traveled to the Dominican Republic for their third Interact service trip. Our club is honored to support this impactful youth program. Thank you, John, for your leadership and involvement.

Our club is proud to support our local community through charitable giving. In our last meeting, we made a contribution to the Ingalls Memorial Library in Rindge. Rotarian Gail Therriault, our Charitable Giving Coordinator, presented a check to Karla McLeod, Chairperson of the Library's Board of Trustees. Thank you, Gail, for your dedication and efforts in making this possible. We are pleased to contribute to the Ingalls Memorial Library's development.

The service, generosity, and teamwork demonstrated by our club in supporting the community are truly incredible. I am honored and grateful for all that you do. Let's continue this momentum as we gather again on June 5th.

With gratitude and Rotary spirit,

Yours in Service,
