We meet at the Shattuck for our EVENING meeting on Thursday, May 9th, at 5:30pm. Roy Baldwin has the Invocation.
Nat Pierce will be our Guest Speaker. It will be good to have Nathaniel re-join us for the evening. Plenty of hot (and cool) horsey derveys (hors d'oeuvres to those who are eloquent with French), so bring your appetite and your penchant for good fellowship.
I returned this weekend from our District 7870 Annual Conference in Danvers, Massachusetts. A wonderful experience! Our Conant Interact Club's Maria Anton competed with four other students from various high schools in Vermont and New Hampshire, missing out on the first place prize by one-quarter of one percentage point. She gave a "lights out!" presentation based on the "4-Way Test" that she presented to our Rotary Club about five or so weeks ago. I am so proud of her!

Roadside clean-up finally occurred on Saturday -- thanks, Mike Shea, for getting this off the ground (soggy as it was)!
Jon Frederick and I began what will be a series of short meetings as we prepare for the transition of leadership of our Club. Jon is going to be a GREAT president. Gavel Night is on Thursday, June 27th, and we both thank Peter Russell and Ginny for their willingness to once again host our annual social gathering at their home. Save the date!!
