Dear Rotarians,
Tell me and I'll forget.
Show me, and I may not remember.
Involve me, and I'll understand.

The Jaffrey Rindge Rotary Club will meet this Thursday morning, October 29th, at 7:15am, at Franklin Pierce University. James Potter has the Invocation.
Our guest speaker this week will be Dr. James Potter, one of our own Rotarians. He will share a little about himself, including background, interests, etc.
This Friday, Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians will pass out candy to Trick-or-Treaters between 4pm and 6pm, as downtown Jaffrey celebrates Halloween.
Last week on Thursday, October 22nd, the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club hosted the monthly Community Supper. Thank you everyone who helped Wednesday and Thursday. We had a lot of Rotarians show up on Thursday night and four Interactors. It was great to see everyone.
Thank you to all that helped with the Road Side clean-up this past Saturday on Route 202. Lots of filled blue trash bags! Unfortunately, not all Rotarians could make it this weekend after the initial date of October 17th was cancelled due to poor weather. A huge thank you to Mike Shea for organizing this twice-a-year event for the club, and to Emily Foley who took pictures. A BIG shoutout to all who participated, besides Mike, including Matt Shea, Ben Wheeler, Bill Coleman, Jim Potter, Emily Foley, Andy Lawn, and Pat Lawn. You all did a great job!
Last Tuesday, Rudra and I were invited to the Grand Monadnock Rotary meeting in Peterborough to collect a check for $2500 to support the Nepal relief. Together - between our two Rotary clubs - we raised $5000 to send to the Rotary Club in Nepal.
Our next meeting on November 5th will be at the University at 7:15am. Our speaker will be Kathy Manfre and Mary Armstrong, MA, R-DMT, a registered Dance/Movement Therapist, who is also a singer and guitarist. They will share their passion for banning plastic grocery bags. We will also honor and recognize recognize our November student of the month, Greyson Markeseines, a fifth grader at the Rindge Memorial School.
Yours in Service,
Donna
