Hi Fellow Rotarians,

We meet at The Shattuck this Thursday evening, June 13th, at 5:30pm.  Travis Kumph has the Invocation.

Our speaker Thursday evening is one of our very own.  Russ Robertson, a retired ENT surgeon/physician, will share his experiences in the military when he was in Vietnam, a time in which he performed surgery on military personnel injured in the line of duty.  Should be quite interesting.

Speaking of interesting, our contingent of several Rotarians who are down in Nicaragua are seeing much, learning lots, and have been working non-stop visiting a dozen school facilities targeted for our Matching Grant.  Many meetings have occurred and a full report will be provided to the Club at our June 20th Breakfast Meeting.

Our Scholarship Committee has made a determination as to the winner of this year's $2500 Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club scholarship.  The winner will be announced at the Conant High School Awards Night this Thursday.  The presentation will be made by Scholarship Chairperson Ben Wheeler or one of the Rotarians that serves on this Committee.

Remember Gavel Night is June 27th, 5:30-7:30pm, at the Russell's (4 Gilson Road, Jaffrey).  Circle your calendar. Andy Harris, Fellowship Chair, will have more to share shortly.

See you Thursday - hot and cold hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Yours in Service,

bob
