Dear Rotarians,

This Thursday, November 7th, the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet at Franklin Pierce University at 7:15am. We'll enjoy coffee and breakfast as we share stories and discuss club activities at each table. Our speaker will be Roe-Ann Tasoulas, the executive director of the Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition (https://mfcommunitycoalition.org/). She will discuss how we can develop a robust, equitable, and sustainable local food system in the Monadnock Region, supporting the Healthy Monadnock strategy to promote healthy eating.

We also have an upcoming event on Saturday, November 9th. Time again for our bi-annual Roadside Cleanup project. Rotarians will meet at Emma's 321 Pub and Kitchen at 377 Rt 202 in Rindge at 8:00am.  We'll circulate a sign-up sheet at our weekly meeting to gather the names of Rotarians who plan to participate. If you cannot attend the meeting but plan to join the cleanup project on November 9th, please inform Rotarian Bob Schaumann at rsta@tellink.net

Last week's meeting began with an invocation led by Rotarian Christine Bergeron, followed by a thank you to all members for their hard work in making the October 26th raffle event a success!  Jeff Lefkovich, Executive Director of Real Estate Development, presented the Vose Farm Road project in Peterborough, which is set to start soon. Thank you, Jeff, for your informative presentation! Later that day, October 31, we had the pleasure of setting up a Rotary table and banner for the Halloween candy distribution event on Jaffrey's Main Street. As we celebrated this special holiday, we met many community members and enjoyed bringing smiles to children and their families.  We gave out a LOT of candy!!

We deeply appreciate the enthusiasm and effort each of you brings to our club. Sometimes, even when you can't attend in person, your thoughts and indirect support are vital to our group's success. Every member makes a meaningful impact, and I'm truly grateful for your commitment. Your dedication is invaluable, and we look forward to your ongoing support and involvement.

Yours in Service,

Rudra

Rotarians Hand Out Halloween Candy in Jaffrey

Rotarians Marc Wienecki, Rudra Aryal, Jim Banghart, and Bill Coleman pose for a quick picture while handing out candy to Jaffrey's Halloween goblins and other unusual creatures. With one of the warmest Halloweens on record with temperatures in the low 70's, there was no shortage of small Halloween costumes downtown!!

Stephanie and a Bearded Clown ham it up on Halloween

Rotarians Stephanie Thompson and Owen Houghton ham it up while giving out Halloween Candy in front of the Chamber of Commerce Office.  Guess which one is Owen.

Jeff Lefkovich, Executive Director of Real Estate Development

Jeff Lefkovich, Executive Director of Real Estate Development, presented the Vose Farm Road project to Rotarians at our October 31st meeting.  A very informative presentation that will see this project commence shortly, with the project to provide several "affordable" housing apartments in Peterborough that will open in Spring 2026

The Calm Before the Storm

With a busy day ahead of them, Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians relax over breakfast at the weekly meeting.
