Hi Fellow Rotarians,

Just a reminder that there is no morning meeting this Thursday. Instead, we will be attending a reception hosted by Kim Mooney and Greg Walsh at the Pearly House on the Franklin Pierce University campus, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The location is 9 University Drive (first house on your left when entering University Drive from Rt 119). All Rotarians and their spouses/significant others are invited to attend this event.

Our August 10th meeting will be our last at the Cathedral of the Pines for the summer. On August 17th, we will be back at the University for a Club Assembly in the newly remodeled meeting room.

John and I have been discussing how we can help the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary identify projects that will motivate our membership, give us a sense of mission, and provide for a level of commitment and energy appropriate for a Rotary Club of our size and demographic.  We plan to use a portion of the August 17 Club Assembly meeting to begin this discussion so that we can identify the right projects for our club and then start to tie names to the projects.

Circle Saturday, August 19th, on your calendar.  This is the big Jaffrey 250th Anniversary Parade, and the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will be in it!  Donna Senechal is donating her convertible. Please join us as marchers in the parade from 10am to 12 Noon. Rotarians, spouses, significant others, and Interactors are all invited to participate.

We look forward to seeing all of you Thursday evening.

Yours in Service,

Bill/John
