Hi Fellow Rotarians,
We will be at Franklin Pierce University for our weekly Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club meeting on Thursday, August 31st, at 7:15am.
Sorry that I had to miss last week’s meeting, but one’s eye health must come first. I did spend some productive time this week fixing our Rotary bell, as the top half had snapped off the base. Glad to report it has been fixed and should be good for quite some time to come.
This week, we will be having guest speaker Susan Ashworth join us, as she shares her insight on the "Meals on Wheels" program in our local area.
Last week on Tuesday, Sheila Bergeron and John McCarthy drove to Boston to meet our German exchange student, Moritz Neddermeier, and bring him back to Sheila's house where he will be her guest for the next several months. Along with Sam LaFortune, John, and Sheila have been quite active welcoming Moritz, as well as bringing him over to Conant High School, preparing him for the school year, and getting him approved for NHIAA sports (soccer) this Fall. John and Sheila will be giving us an update on Moritz at our Thursday meeting.
