Hi Fellow Rotarians,

John and I would like to thank Greg Walsh and Kim Mooney for hosting a reception at their lovely home last Thursday evening.  Much fun was had by all, and events such as this allow our Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club to maintain a strong bond with Franklin Pierce University.

Our August 10th meeting this Thursday at 7:15am will be our last for the summer at the Cathedral of the Pines.  On August 17th, we will return to the University for a Club Assembly in the newly remodeled meeting room.

Owen Houghton and Steve Miller, two fellow Rotarians and members of the Amos Fortune - New Hampshire Black Heritage Trail Committee, will talk to us about their efforts to place a marker in Jaffrey and the upcoming dedication ceremony that will take place on Friday, August 18th.

Please circle Saturday, August 19th, on your calendar.  This is the big Jaffrey 250th Anniversary Parade, and the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will be in it.  Donna Senechal is donating her convertible.  Please join us as marchers in the parade from 10am to 12 noon.  Rotarians, spouses, significant others, and Interactors are all invited to participate.

Yours in Service,

Bill/John
