Greetings, Jaffrey-Rindge Rotarians,
The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet this week on Thursday, March 7th, at 7:15am, at Franklin Pierce University.
Lori Rautiola will have the invocation. In addition, Lori and Jon Frederick will be our speakers this week, providing us with an update on the upcoming Town Meetings in our two towns, as well as what voters should expect. As most of us know, Rindge is an SB2 official ballot Town. Jaffrey is not. It should be interesting to hear about the differences in the two forms of government.
Committee updates and membership - A group of us met to discuss fundraising after last week's meeting. Those present included Richard Feldman, Sheila Bergeron, Sam LaFortune, Bob Schaumann, Rudra Aryal, and yours truly. We discussed plans for our October 26th Rotary fundraiser, and came up with a goal of $20,000 to be raised after expenses.
One thing on which we all agreed was that ALL of our members will need to be involved if we are going to reach our goal and have a fun event. Rudra did a nice job of chairing this meeting and, afterwards, provided a good written summary of the meeting, along with a draft of how things might work at the Woodbound Inn next October.
