CVTC Receives Charitable Giving Donation
Ellen Avery, Director of the Contoocook Volunteer Transportation Company, receives a donation from the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club's Charitable Giving Chair, Gail Therriault. The Jaffrey and Rindge citizens receive the lion's share of transportation services that CVTC provides to over a dozen nearby towns in Cheshire County.

Owen Houghton Thanks Rotary
Owen Houghton thanked Rotarians for their expressions of sympathy, following the recent passing of his wife, Norma. Owen mentioned how he has since heard from many whom Norma touched when she was teaching. A celebration of life for Norma, a retired RN certified as a Lactation Consultant, will be held on Thursday, August 1st, at 2:00pm, at the United Church of Jaffrey. Norma was proud to be associated with the Birthing Center at Monadnock Hospital for over 30 years. She was a leader in the water birth movement and in retirement enjoyed countless encounters with mothers and offspring who benefitted from her care.
