Dear Rotarians,
This week, the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet at Franklin Pierce University on Thursday, September 19th, at 7:15am. We are excited to welcome Dr. Fred Rogers, a distinguished geologist and Atmospheric and Geological Sciences professor at Franklin Pierce University. He will discuss the geological history of New Hampshire and its surrounding regions, and we will have the opportunity to learn more about where we live!
Last week, we had the privilege of hosting Dr. Nora Travis, a leading expert in ground-level air pollution. Her presentation was enlightening, shedding light on the sources of air pollution, its profound effects on human health, and practical strategies to safeguard ourselves from indoor pollutants. We sincerely thank Dr. Travis for her invaluable time and insights.
In recent efforts to connect with the community, our Club proudly welcomed students by displaying a roadside sign that read, "Dream Big, Work Hard, and A Great Year is Ahead!" These signs, which we retrieved last weekend for future use, received positive feedback. It warmed my heart to hear from a teacher who told me about his students' conversation about our roadside sign. "Did you see that sign welcoming us?" one student asked. Another responded, "He felt pleased reading 'Dream Big and Work Hard, A Great Year is Ahead.'" I just wanted to share this story with you. Hearing this filled me with pride, and I felt compelled to share this experience.
Our upcoming Raffle Party is generating significant momentum, with tickets already circulating among members. The energy and enthusiasm are noticeable as we work together to ensure this event's success. Sam LaFortune will provide further updates during our meeting, and we eagerly anticipate sharing the latest developments with you all.
As always, we are excited about our next meeting. Your presence, participation, and insightful suggestions make our Club dynamic and thriving. We deeply appreciate the important role each of us plays in its continued success. Whether large or small, every contribution is invaluable, and we are sincerely grateful for your dedication to our shared mission.
Yours in Service,
Rudra
