Greetings, Jaffrey/Rindge Rotarians,
The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet this week on Thursday, February 29th, at Franklin Pierce University. Sheila will have the invocation.
Dr. Mary Kelly, Professor of History at Franklin Pierce University, will be our speaker. Mary is said to retain a bit of a delightful brogue, so come prepared to practice for St. Patty's Day! Dr. Kelly graduated from the University of Galway with a Master's degree in Modern Irish History; her Ph.D. in Modern American History is from Syracuse University.
Committee updates and membership - The membership Committee met after our club assembly on February 15. It was reported that they had a good meeting. If you are still considering which committee(s) to join, get in touch with John McCarthy or Bill Coleman, and we will make some suggestions. We can always use a few members for fundraising.
Although we did not meet last week because of the Presidents' Day holiday, this Thursday will mark our fourth Club meeting during the month of February, 2024. Even with 29 days because of Leap Year, this doesn't happen many Februarys!
